Learning piano at four with the Fulhamtree Method

Can a child actually learn piano at four years old? Before I created the Minigrade system, I struggled to find a way to make it happen. I found that standard methods were either too fast, too abstract, or simply did not speak to the young mind.
The seeds of my method were planted back in my university days in Cordoba, Argentina. I knew there had to be a way to teach music that was as intuitive as it was rigorous. I got my chance when a friend opened a nursery here in London and gave me the space to experiment.
That period of trial and error changed everything. I realised that teaching a four-year-old is not about finding a "special talent"; it is about using a special method.
By creating the Minigrade system, I created a series of milestones. We turned musical education into a measurable, fun, and easy progression. We stopped "confining" children to the piano bench and started inviting them into a world of expression. They did not feel like students struggling through a lesson; they felt like musicians finding their voice.
The most rewarding part of this journey has been seeing the impact stretch beyond the nursery. We have seen the Fulhamtree Method help students with diverse learning needs, and we have watched parents realise that it is never, ever too late to start reading music.
If you are wondering if your child is ready, I am happy to let you know: they are. Learning piano at four is a beautiful, natural, and highly advisable way to start a journey that will last a lifetime.
