Ask a Quick Question

How early should my child start his/her musical training?

At Stringnote we believe learning the language of music should be undertaken as soon as possible. It’s like learning a second language, the longer you wait the less fluent you are likely to become. The quicker your child develops their musical ability the better their chance of overcoming those rhythmic and intonation problems that, in many cases, await them.

What is the aim of Stringnote’s Talent Development Programme?

The aim of the Talent Development Programme is to fully develop the natural musical abilities that children have and, at the same time, to help them to acquire music literacy regardless whether the child is formally studying an instrument or not.

How many Talent Development groups you have?

There are several groups distributed in THREE LEVELS: Our Programme starts with a course for toddlers, 1-2 year old, that is the Level 0. In this type of group sessions we advise that a parent/career to be present, although no previous musical training for her/him is required. - Level 0 groups are designed to support children’s growing creativity with playful routines that introduce the basic musical elements to be developed in the following levels. - Level I groups is designed for Pre-school children (2-3 years old). These are music sessions especially designed to support the development of musical creativity in young children, practicing pitch, rhythm and raising children’s general musical awareness. These are well-planned and designed non-structured sessions to support your child’s growing creativity. Please note that a parent/career needs to be present too (no previous musical training for her/him is required). - Finally, from 4-5 years old and until the age that many children start with the formal learning of any instrument (approximately at 6 or 7 years old) we offer the Level II Kids sessions, a programme which includes piano training (with a especially designed book of lessons composed by Marcello Palace, our main teacher and founder of the Academy) or Violin. These sessions are an excellent introduction to a more structured learning of music and each session has two parts: the learning of piano and keyboard skills and the development of musical activities aimed to develop temporal-spatial coordination, which is a key element for broader mathematical and language skills.
